OEM Sock Order Checklist: What to Approve Before Bulk Production

Shuzu Socks Industry

An OEM sock project can involve specifications, samples, materials, production, inspection and delivery. Use the steps below as a buyer checklist, not as a promise of services or fixed lead times from this site.

Phase 1: Define the brief and sample path. Share intended use, artwork, sizes, estimated quantity and destination market. Confirm whether artwork review or a physical sample is needed, how revisions work and who approves the sample.

Phase 2: Confirm materials and the quote. Request fiber composition, colors, packaging options and the MOQ for each relevant variation. Check material availability and quote validity.

Phase 3: Agree on production milestones. Put pre-production approvals, progress checkpoints, quantities and tolerance handling in writing. Lead time depends on the specific product and confirmed capacity.

Phase 4: Agree on inspection and packaging. Define who inspects, the sampling method, test items, acceptance criteria and the response to defects. Do not assume a particular test is included by default.

Phase 5: Check delivery and after-sales terms. Confirm the trade term, shipping documents, estimated dispatch window, logistics responsibilities and quality-claim procedure before approving bulk production.

What to approve before bulk production

  1. A written specification for each style and size: composition, construction, colors, artwork placement and tolerances.
  2. A version-identified physical sample, with any unresolved differences between that sample and the proposed bulk product.
  3. A quote and MOQ broken down by design, color and size, including responsibility for sample revisions, packaging and freight.
  4. An agreed inspection method, sampling scope, acceptance limits and defect owner; do not assume a test is included.
  5. Written delivery terms: estimated dispatch window, trade term, carton labels, documents and quality-claim process.

If a record is missing, resolve it or document an exception before approving production. Use the OEM project page and private-label buyer page to frame the questions.
